Fulton County contracts with a nonprofit entity to provide animal control services. Effective 10:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008, the Fulton County Animal Services vendor became Barking Hound Village Foundation, LLC.
HOURS -- Regular field operation service is Monday - Friday from 7 A.M. to 10:30 P.M., and Saturday from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Limited and emergency animal control is also provided after hours, on Sundays and on holidays.
SHELTER HOURS -- Mondays -Thursdays -- 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Fridays --11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays -- 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Animal Services include:
- Pet Adoption
- Leash Law Enforcement
- Enforcement of regulations requiring confinement of dangerous animals
- Investigation of animal bites
- Animal abuse, abandonment and neglect investigations
- Dog and cat licenses
- Nuisance Complaints
- Holding of impounded animals
- Rabies Control
In addition, staff can provide assistance in locating lost pets.
