About the Director

Veronica Williams Njoku is the Director of the Fulton County Arts Council (FCAC), which is responsible for the development and implementation of Fulton County Arts initiatives. Additionally, she oversees the management of four county-owned neighborhood arts centers and a fifth facility operated through a public/private partnership. Njoku is also responsible for the establishing prototypes for policies and procedures in the governmental granting process.  She manages a $5.7 million budget and 25 employees.

She was appointed by the County Manager on July 10, 2000.

Njoku was previously the Fulton County Arts Council deputy director and the director of community relations for the Alliance Theatre. She currently serves on the boards of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts, Americans for the Arts, Arts Supporting Agencies Partnership (ASAP), the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, and Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau Cultural Tourism Board.  She is also the Fulton County liaison to the board of the National Black Arts Festival.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and holds a diploma from the University of Paris in Paris, France.
