| Issues handled by the Cable Franchise Division
The Cable Franchise Division is authorized to handle issues with cable television only. Some of the issues handled by the Division are reception issues, unresolved billing situations, continued missed appointments by technicians, the cable company’s not burying drop cables, etc. It is when you have first attempted to deal with these issues by contacting Comcast, and you have failed, that is when the Cable Franchise Division can help you.

The Cable Franchise Division is not authorized to regulate digital telephone services or high speed internet services. Contact Georgia's Public Service Commission via telephone at (404) 656-4501 or online http://www.psc.state.ga.us/ for complaints regarding your digital telephone service. High Speed Internet complaints should be forwarded to the Federal Trade Commission http://www.ftc.gov

In order to submit your complaint to the Cable Franchise Division via e-mail you must have Adobe Reader 7.0.8 or newer. You may download Adobe Reader by clicking on the link below. Once you have downloaded Adobe Reader you may submit the form via e-mail. You will not be able to save the form but, you can print and save the data to send via e-mail as an attachment.

Comcast Install Obligations
Under the Cable Franchise Agreement the cable provider (Comcast) is obligated upon written request by an unserved potential subscriber within the primary service area to extend service to any dwelling unit not already passed by the Cable System. The density of the dwelling units must be at least twenty (20) dwelling units per cable mile in any area that can be served with aerial plant, and at least thirty (30) dwelling units per cable mile in any area that must be served by an underground plant. No charge may be levied to defray the cost of extending the Cable System plant to a point in the Primary Service Area where the dwelling can be served by a standard one hundred fifty (150) foot drop line.
