Residents Voting by Mail are Reminded to Sign Envelopes | Print |

The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections is encouraging residents who are voting absentee by mail to double check their ballot envelopes before sending them in.

Voters should sign the oath on the back of the envelope prior to mailing it.  The oath must be signed for the ballot to be counted. The Department of Registration and Elections has received numerous absentee by mail envelopes that were not signed. Elections officials are attempting to contact each voter who sent in an unsigned envelope.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the November 2, 2010 General Election is Friday, October 29, 2010.  Completed absentee ballots must be received by the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections no later than 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
