Flood Victims Can Apply for Assistance Until November 23 Fulton County residents and business owners who have lost property or sustained damage due to flooding are eligible for federal disaster assistance.
Fulton County Manager Zachary Williams has received confirmation that Fulton County Tax Commissioner Arthur Ferdinand is moving forward with issuance of tax bills for Fulton County property owners. Tax bills will be mailed to residents by the end of October.
New Homestead Exemption Laws Mean Good News for Fulton County Homeowners
Thanks to a bill passed last year by the Georgia State Legislature, Fulton County homeowners will see an increase in homestead exemption from $15,000 to $30,000 over the next three years. Starting this year, a Fulton County Homeowner will receive a $20,000 exemption, and by 2011 the basic exemption will reach $30,000. For those over age 65, the exemption may be even larger.
The Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness has opened a new clinic to provide affordable, limited primary care services to residents. The walk-in clinic, Primary Care Lite, is located on the second floor of the Aldredge Health Center located at 99 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, Atlanta.
