The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections encourages eligible voters to take advantage of Saturday voting on October 24th from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners has named Interim Fulton County Police Chief Gary D. Stiles as sole finalist for the position of Fulton County Police Chief. The decision comes after a search to appoint a permanent chief.

Fulton County Water Resources Partnering with Home Serve for Water Line Repair | Print |

Fulton County is partnering with HomeServe USA (HomeServe) to offer a new optional water service line repair plan. Fulton County water and sewer customers can also choose additional plan options to cover sewer and septic lines as well as in-home plumbing. 

Fulton County Opens Four Additional Sites for Early Voting for the 2015 Municipal General and Special Elections | Print |

Beginning Monday, October 19th through October 30th, Fulton County will open four (4) additional early voting sites for residents to Vote Early for the 2015 Municipal General and Special Elections. The four additional sites will provide residents a total of five (5) locations to vote early. Also, residents will have a chance to vote early on Saturday, October 24th at the four additional locations.

Fulton County Voters Challenged to Vote Early and #PostThePeach | Print |

Eligible Fulton County Voters are challenged to vote early and show off their “I’m A Georgia Voter” stickers as part of the #PostThePeach Challenge, for the Municipal General and Special Election. After casting their ballots, county voters are challenged to post photos of themselves wearing their state-issued “I am Georgia Voter” peach sticker and to challenge others to #PostThePeach on social media channels.  

Fulton County Voters Can Request an Absentee Ballot through October 30, 2015 | Print |

Some Fulton County voters may prefer to vote absentee by mail. To request an absentee ballot, registered voters may fax or mail a written request or go online to request an absentee ballot application. Voters can vote absentee by mail for any reason. Citizens can retrieve an absentee ballot through Friday, October 30, 2015. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

New Public Comment Rules Take Effect October 7 | Print |

On September 16, the Board of Commissioners adopted changes to public comment that will take effect with the October 7 meeting. These new changes will maximize opportunities for public comment at Commission meetings. As of this week’s meeting, on Wednesday October 7, speakers can no longer yield or donate time to another participant. Speakers will be granted up to two minutes apiece.

Fulton County Commissioners to Tackle Issue of Sex Trafficking | Print |

During the Fulton County Board of Commissioners’ October 7 meeting, Commissioners are expected to address the issue of sexual exploitation when it votes on a resolution. The proposal would form a coalition between county government and stakeholders concerned about this public health and safety issue. The resolution is co- sponsored by John H. Eaves, Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, and District 2 Commissioner Bob Ellis.
