Fulton Environmental Health Services Increases Efforts to Limit Mosquito Growth | Print |
Positive WNV Mosquito Pool Count Reaches 56

The Fulton County Division of Environmental Health Services (EHS) has announced the identification of 56 mosquito pools that have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV).  Based on the increased number of positive mosquito pools and one human case, the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness has increased their efforts to deter mosquito growth in areas surrounding combined sewer overflow (CSOs).

Free Household Hazardous Waste Workshop | Print |
The Fulton County Public Works Department will host a FREE Household Hazardous Waste Workshop on Wednesday, September 29, 2010.  The workshop will be from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Ocee Branch Library which is located at 5090 Abbots Bridge Rd, Johns Creek GA, 30005. In this workshop, residents will learn how to use alternative household cleaners.

Fulton Industrial Boulevard Receives Opportunity Zone Designation for Job Creation | Print |

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs has announced that the Fulton Industrial Boulevard corridor has received an Opportunity Zone designation. This designation allows businesses in the area to qualify for tax incentives for job creation.  Any new jobs created from January 1, 2010 through 2020 will qualify. Businesses must create a minimum of two net new jobs to receive the credit.

Fulton Hosts Dedication Ceremony for New Service Center | Print |

Fulton County will dedicate the new Fulton County Government Service Center at Fulton Industrial on September 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.  The new facility opened on June 15 of this year and relocated to 5440 Fulton Industrial Boulevard.

Changes for South Fulton Cable Customers | Print |

Comcast’s Xfinity Cable service is switching cable to a digital signal in South Fulton.  This is part of a nationwide switch to digital service. Cable customers whose cable currently runs directly from the wall to their TV need to make some choices.

Water Service Interruptions Expected in North Fulton, Planned Water Main Repairs | Print |

Water lines will be shut off on Old Alabama Road south of Wooten Road to Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, Georgia North Fulton County. The following subdivisions will be out of service from 10:00 p.m. on 9/1/2010 until 6:00 a.m. on 9/2/2010; Stonewyck, Tyson Pace, Ansley and Belcourt Apartments. There should be no traffic interruptions.  Services will be shut off so crews can install 2 water main valves to isolate areas for required system maintenance.
