Fulton Health Services Promotes Adult Immunizations to Protect Young against Pertussis | Print |

Immunizations are not just for children, adults also need to be current with their vaccines. Rising cases of whooping cough and seasonal flu prompted experts to revise adult vaccination recommendations.Changes in the 2011 recommendations reflect efforts to protect adults and young, vulnerable children they may encounter. The dose and timing of a relatively new vaccine for adults, Tdap, have been updated.

Fulton Commissioners Approve Substantial Amendment to Allow Acceptance of $3,094,885 in NSP 3 Funding | Print |

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a “Substantial Amendment” to submit to the Department of Housing and Urban Development that will allow the County to accept $3,094,885 in Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (NSP3) funds on February, 16, 2011.

Don’t miss your chance to register your child for the Fulton County Arts & Culture 2011 Summer Camp ARTS Through the Ages. The camp is comprised of four one-week sessions. Students’ ages 5-12 years old are eligible to participate. Campers will rotate through music, dance, theatre and visual arts classes each day. Fulton County Cooperative Extension wants all residents to develop regular physical activity habits, get healthier and have fun while “walking across Georgia”.  Daily activities such as walking the dog, going for a jog and playing catch with the kids quickly add up to virtual miles that are used to “walk” across the state.
