Aquatics Class Members Water Dance with Zumba

Seniors participating in Helene S. Mills Senior Multipurpose Facility programs enjoyed their first Aquatic Zumba Class on Friday, August 5, 2016. The high-energy exercise drew excitement from class members as they danced and jumped in the water without risking injury to their joints.
Water aerobics is considered beneficial for those who want to take advantage of keeping their bodies moving while enjoying lower impact movement to protect joints. Zumba Aquatics will be held each Friday at Mills as a pilot session to determine interest in a permanent class.
Aquatics is part of a number of programs offered in Fulton County senior multipurpose facilities such as sittercise, aerobics, arts programs, quilting and numerous other activities designed for active seniors. Seniors 55 and older must register at their preferred facility and register to participate in a lottery for placement in preferred classes. For more information about Fulton County's four senior multipurpose facilities and programs, call the STARline at 404-613-6000.
