Fulton County has reported that 168,138 residents have voted during the first two weeks of Early Voting. This count exceeds the number of early voters in the 2012 Presidential Election when 152,000 voted early during the entire early voting period. With this being the final week of early voting, the county is expecting to set a new record of over 220,000residents taking advantage of Early Voting.
‚ÄúThe high turnout has been great over the past two weeks of early voting,‚ÄĚ said Richard Barron, Director, Fulton County Registration and Elections. ‚ÄúPlus, over 5,500 residents have used the 12 Outreach locations and over 34,000 voted during the two weekends we were open for early voting. It is our hope that our residents continue to take advantage of the many locations and extended hours for early voting.‚ÄĚ
The average wait time at the 24 Early Voting locations has been around 15-20 minutes which is less than an Election Day line wait time. Visit www.earlyvoting.fultoncountyga.gov for Early Voting locations and times. You will also be able to view the wait times at each location.
Residents are asked to #PostThePeach after voting. Visit www.postthepeach.com for more information about wearing your peach with pride.
