Crews To Install Overhead Protection Scaffolding Along Fulton County Courthouse | Print |

Fulton County is beginning repairs to the stone exterior of the Fulton County Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse. As part of the project, overhead protection scaffolding will be installed along the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Pryor Street sides of the Courthouse.

The installation will begin on Saturday, June 24 and is expected to be complete by Tuesday, July 4. Employees and residents are encouraged to NOT use the Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse's Pryor Street entrance during this period. For the safety and convenience of pedestrians, most of the scaffolding construction will be done between the hours of 5 p.m. and 12 a.m.

While the scaffolding is being installed,  pedestrians will be able to access the sidewalk along Martin Luther King. Jr. Drive only from the Central Ave. SW and Pryor St. SW sidewalk intersections.

The scaffolding is expected to remain up for approximately 3 years as crews repair the facade of the Courthouse.
