Many people are unaware that Fulton County operates a formal Civil Service or Merit System of career employment. The Fulton County Merit System recognizes a need for building and maintaining an effective organization based on individual merit. The laws, regulations and proceÂdures under which the County Merit System operates are carefully designed to assure that all employees enjoy attractive career opportunities and objectives.
