Multi Family Toilet Rebate Program | Print |

The Fulton County Department of Water Resources (DWR) is extending its high-efficiency toilet rebate to our multifamily customers (townhomes, condominium associations, and apartments) built before 1993 and on a single master meter.   The program provides a $50.00 rebate per toilet that uses more than 1.6 gallons per flush (gpf) and are replaced with a 1.28 gpf or less EPA Water Sense certified toilet.  

The maximum rebate (credit to the water bill) amount allowed is $7,500.00 (150 toilets) and is given on a first come first serve basis.   This program is subject to available funding and may be cancelled at any time.   Fulton County Finance has no control over disbursement to any residents of a townhome or condominium association.

Properties wishing to participate in the program MUST follow these Steps

For Condominiums and Townhomes:

Step 1:   Secure at least 50% participation of the residential units and complete the Intent to Participate Certification.  

Steps 2 - 6 below


For Apartments:

Step 1:   Be ready to convert at least 50% of the residential units (or at least 75 toilets).

Step 2:   Contact the Fulton County Water Resources Department at (404) 612-7400 to schedule a pre-inspection.   This inspection is required and needs to be completed to verify eligibility for the program.

Step 3:   The day of the inspection you are required to have a minimum of 10% of the participating units available for inspection by the Water Resources staff (a representative must accompany on all inspections).

Step 4:   Purchase and install Water Sense labeled toilets from the list of approved products and submit all required paperwork (see Frequently Asked Questions) within 90 (ninety) days after pre-inspection is passed.   Keep a copy of all paperwork for your records.

Step 5:   Schedule a post-inspection with the Water Resources staff.

Step 6:   When the post-inspection is passed and all required paperwork is completed. The master-metered water account will receive a credit.

  2. Multi-Family Toilet Rebate Application
  3. Proof of Installation (receipt/invoice from plumber or
    maintenance records if installed by property staff)
  4. Documentation from licensed hauler and porcelain recycler
