Will Wooten has dedicated his entire legal career to serving the community, working passionately as both a prosecutor and a public defender. With a diverse background, he has served as a prosecutor in the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office and the Gwinnett County Solicitor-General’s Office, as well as a public defender in Knoxville, Tennessee. In Clayton County, Will skillfully prosecuted major felony offenses, ranging from murder and rape to child molestation and drug trafficking. He also advised fellow ADAs on best practices for prosecuting complex white-collar cases.

As an advocate for legal education, Will plays a key role in training new attorneys and interns, providing them with valuable insights into the criminal justice system and helping them hone their courtroom skills. He actively contributes to the Emory University School of Law Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques, one of the nation's most prominent trial advocacy programs. Will is also a dedicated member of the Stonewall Bar Association.

Holding both an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and a law degree from Emory University, Will's pursuit of knowledge is evident. During his leisure time, he finds enjoyment in following Miami Hurricanes football and exploring Georgia's stunning mountains and trails through hiking.

Currently, Will serves as Deputy District Attorney, leading the White Collar Crimes Unit. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of Chair Emeritus for DA Willis' LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee, which he co-created and led until the recent appointment of the new Chair, Matthew Norwood. Through his unwavering dedication and expertise, Will Wooten continues to make a significant impact on the legal profession and the community he serves.
