Junior Deputy Program
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Junior Deputy Program is an extension of the traditional “Explorers Program”. It’s a one week summer program that offers an eye opening experience for youth who have an interest in law enforcement. The week consists of physical fitness, team building exercises, an introduction to CPR, learning about the judicial system, various (fun) high stress scenarios, defensive tactics, youth and law enforcement interaction, and much more.
This summer program typically takes place in June. When the program becomes active, the application will be available on this page. To be a part of this program the student must:
- Be a resident or related to someone who works in or goes to a school in Fulton County.
- Be 12 to 16-years-old.
- Submit an essay and a recommendation letter from a school administrator.
- Pay an application fee of $50.
