As residents submit voter registration challenges leading up to an election, please keep in mind the limitations on list maintenance activities established under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA). Specifically, the NVRA provides that any action to systematically remove the names of ineligible voters from the official list of electors must be completed no later than ninety (90) days prior to the date of a primary or general election for federal office.
The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections recommends Challengers submit challenges and proof as soon as possible.
It would be ideal that they are received 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the next scheduled BRE Meeting (State law requires that a challenge has to be received at least *10 days prior to the hearing, which we will try to schedule during regularly scheduled BRE Meetings).
Next Election: May 24, 2022, 90 days prior to would be February 23, 2022.
The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections will have 10 days to do the research, notify the electors and schedule a hearing.
All challenges should be emailed to: Elections.Voter@fultoncountyga.gov
