Fulton County’s Cooperative Extension and North Fulton Master Gardeners are accepting applications for the 2024 UGA Master Gardener Extension Volunteer (MGEV) program through the end of this week.
The MGEV program is equips volunteers to complement, enhance or support Cooperative Extension’s mission to increase environmental stewardship through the execution of educational programs, and support of demonstration gardens and outreach events, such as the farmer’s markets and festivals. Active projects include exhibitions at horticultural shows, a media campaign series, presentations, and assisting follow residents with inquires.
Hard copies of applications may be submitted by mail, postmarked by September 15, 2023 to:

Accepted applicants will be notified on Friday, December 1, 2023, and in-person trainings will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., starting Thursday, January 25, at a location that is currently being determined. Classes will conclude on Thursday, April 25, 2024. If accepted, the program fee of $220, is due by Friday, December 15, 2023.

Selected applicants are required to attend an orientation on Friday, January, 12, 2024, complete a background check, attend classes and complete 50 volunteer hours with the Fulton County Master Gardener Extension.
