A national wastewater surveillance program is being built. Hear more from Public Works Director David Clark. We're able to host representatives from the Public Health department as well as the CDC at the Big Creek. It's important for us to be working together with them because about three years ago we started a new program where we actually test our wastewater for various infectious diseases. When you do a home test nobody reported the results of that, and so we really needed to find a new avenue to see what levels of disease was out in the community. CDC came up with this program, and it has really proven very very beneficial. We've been able to see a lot of things much earlier than we thought we were going to see because what's in the wastewater.
