Fulton County held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of their first Behavioral Crisis Center. Hear more from Chairman Robb Pitts. For far too long mental health has been a problem for us and really been stigmatized. We believe that this facility is going to turn that around. This facility was made possible through Fulton County investing $15 million dollars in federal funds and the use of our Oak Hill facility along with the state of Georgia contributing $9.4 million in annual operating funds. Because of our joint investment, our Fulton County residents will no longer have to struggle to find the resources they need. Fulton County as a government is committed to enhancing health equity and access in our community. Our investment in this Behavioral Health Crisis Center is part of our broader strategy to address health equity gaps in the central and southern portions of Fulton County.
