Fulton County Residents With Uninsured Damage from Hurricane Helene can now Apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance

On Friday, October 11, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that Fulton County residents who experienced uninsured damage or losses by Hurricane Helene are now eligible to apply for disaster assistance. This assistance is available for both homeowners and renters.

FEMA may be able to help with serious needs, displacement, temporary lodging,
basic home repair costs, personal property loss or other disaster-caused needs.

Residents can apply for aid:
1. Online at DisasterAssistance.gov
2. Using the FEMA App
3. Or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362

The FEMA Helpline is open every day and help is available in most languages.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 2, 2024.
