Allen Sautter

Allen Sautter serves as the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and Information Security Officer for the Retail Payments Office.

The CISO is responsible for data protection and enables the Sixth District businesses to operate securely, advise and guide risk management decisions, create strategic direction to mature the information security (IS) program, manage the operations of the Bank’s information security team and functions, collaborate with the other District Information Security Officers and System CISO for administering and implementing of Federal Reserve System (FRS) security standards, and initiatives as well as maturing the information security program for the entire FRS.

Allen joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in November 2015 as part of the Information Security Leadership Team and has held the VP & CISO role since January 2020. Allen also sits on the Board of Directors for Hillside Atlanta since October 2017. Hillside Atlanta specializes in treating mental health for children, teens, and their families.

Prior to coming to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Allen made his career working for many other longstanding, large Atlanta companies. Allen most recently worked for NCR leading a Red Team & DevSecOps team. Allen spent over 10 years at Cox Communications where he designed and implemented many networks as well as building Security Intelligence, Security Assurance, and DevSecOps teams. Allen’s Information Security career began at Bellsouth.net where he worked for over 6 years and left as a Sr. Security Engineer. Prior to Bellsouth.net Allen worked for Crawford Long & Emory Hospitals as an Anesthesiology Tech, helpdesk support tech for a large Point of Sale company, EMT in Buckhead, and Airborne Infantry & Tanker in the Georgia National Guard. In High School Allen lead his JROTC Unit and earned his Eagle Scout.
