Jobseekers of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds can benefit from additional training to increase earning potential. Through a federally funded program, jobseekers who meet eligibility requirements can receive funding to attend approved programs to obtain a:
• CERTIFICATION
• LICENSE
• DEGREE
Approved programs are in industries that are considered “in demand”. This means there are jobs available and the industry provides opportunities for career growth. Five of the current in demand industries include but are not limited to:
• ADVANCED MANUFACTURING
• HEALTHCARE
• INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
• SKILLED TRADES
• TRANSPORTATION, DISTRIBUTION, & LOGISTICS

Unemployment Insurance, Veterans’ Services, Trade Adjustment Act Benefits, General employment services (including resume creation) | |

Provides assistance to individuals with disabilities to gain employment and independence. | |
Atlanta Technical College |
Provides assistance with Adult Education and Literacy. Also provides technical and occupational training for jobseekers. | |
Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority (FACAA) |
Provides a wide array of services to low-income individuals and families by offering programs and services that enable individuals and families to emerge from economic despair, prevent homelessness and enhance educational goals for improved quality of life. | |
Gwinnett Technical College |
Provides technical and occupational training for jobseekers. Also provides free GED classes and free ESL classes for students. | |
Atlanta Public Schools |
Provides assistance with Adult Education and Literacy. Also provides free GED classes | |
Job Corps |
Provides residential education and job training for young adults ages 16-24 |

Provides paid internships for seniors looking to gain new skills and upgrade their skills and get back into the workforce. | |
Housing Authority of Fulton County |
Provides support to thousands of families by offering access to quality housing through the Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly known as Section 8). | |
