Kendall Watkins

Public service is a core value that Kendall has consistently demonstrated throughout her professional, volunteer, and private lives. It is this commitment to serving her community that brought her to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Her diverse experience lends itself to her role as a Community Outreach Specialist. She is tasked with creating, coordinating, and implementing outreach opportunities for the office. Additionally, she develops and cultivates relationships with community partners in furtherance of FCDAO outreach and programming. She also assists with the implementation of many FCDAO grant-funded programs.

Kendall began her career practicing law in both public and private sectors. Her legal experience includes a federal judicial clerkship, a staff attorney position with Georgia Legal Services, and associate positions at midsize and large firms. Her legal career segued to a career in education and educational consulting. In the education space, Kendall wrote curriculum, including Your Passport to Higher Education used in New York City Public Schools, and conducted workshops for adults and youth on myriad subjects. She has utilized her planning skills by implementing student-centered, civic, and professional events from inception to execution.

In her outward-facing role as a Community Resource Specialist, Kendall eagerly embraces opportunities to share FCDAO resources, raise crime prevention awareness, and plan office-wide service projects. During her first year with the office, Kendall organized several office-wide service projects, including a Thanksgiving food and distribution drive with a local partner that served over 700 families in Fulton County.

Although Kendall remains a California girl at heart, having been born and raised in Los Angeles, Georgia has been her home since 1993. Kendall is a proud graduate of Howard University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science before earning her Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School.
