Teressa Blount

Community Resource Specialist, Executive Division

Teressa Blount

Teressa is currently a Community Resource Program Specialist with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, serving in the Operations Division. Prior to this assignment, she rotated throughout the DA's office in various departments, gaining knowledge and experience in each unit. Before this position, she served as an intern with the Fulton County State Court Civil Division for two consecutive summers, during which she became a sworn deputy. She is a proud mentor for the District Attorney’s Office Reach Program—a youth mentoring and coaching transformational program at Renaissance Middle School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbus State University and an Associate of Arts degree from East Georgia State College, both in Criminal Justice.

While attending college, Teressa was active in several organizations and received numerous awards for community service. She served a lead role in the Criminal Justice Club and was a member of the Collegiate Women and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, where she was the first member to receive the member spotlight on Columbus State University’s campus. Presently, she is an active member of the Fulton County Employees Association, serving on the Membership and Events Planning Committees.

Teressa is compassionate, empathetic, and believes in fairness, second chances, and standing up for the rights of others. These characteristics have led to her interest in solving mysteries and bringing closure and justice for families through a career in criminal justice. She is also persistent, resilient, and doesn’t give up until she finds answers to questions. Her life mission is to finish the race regardless of challenges and setbacks. She is not focused on achievements and accolades but hopes to motivate others through her belief that endurance is rewarded in the end. Her favorite scripture that keeps her going is Ecclesiastes 9:11: “The race is not given to the swift nor the battle to the strong.”
