Fulton County Arts & Culture Public Art Program is proud to announce the open call for the 2026 Public Art Futures Lab Artists-in-Residence Program, launching its fifth year of groundbreaking support for artists exploring the intersection of art and technology. Applications will be open from January 6, 2026, to February 10, 2026, with selected artists announced in late March.
Each working residency spans 18-weeks of studio space where selected artists will explore how art and technology activate public space.
Selected artists will receive a $5K or $8K stipend, support, equipment, and a platform to develop innovative projects that make an impact in Downtown Atlanta, Fulton County, and beyond. Learn more and apply by February 10.

Format: Full-time, in-person, May 11 - July 31, 2026
Compensation: $8,000 (after taxes), paid bi-weekly through the PIN Program
Open to: Students from any U.S.-based college or university (students must secure their own housing)

The Partnership for Innovation (PIN) has opened applications for its highly competitive, paid PIN Summer Internship, a 12-week, full-time program that pairs innovative students with forward-thinking public, private, and civic organizations across Georgia and the South.
This year's PIN Interns will be hosted by Fulton County Arts & Culture’s Public Art Futures Lab for an artist-residency/data-research project developed in partnership with the County’s DREAM Sustainability Division. Learn more and apply by February 1.

Fulton County Arts & Culture Hosts the "Holiday Mega Makers" Event
The Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture invites the community to celebrate the season at Holiday Mega Makers 2025. Patrons are invited to participate in a variety of holiday-themed, hands-on workshops led by eight talented art instructors.
Workshop offerings include Holiday Poinsettia Ornament/Brooch, Holiday Wreath Workshop, Ugly Christmas Sweater Decorating, Creative Cocoa Jar Workshop, and Beaded Snowflake Ornament. Additional activities include an Urban Line Dance Session, DIY Holiday Bath Salt Station, and Face Painting for kids and families.

Fulton County Arts & Culture Hosts the “Biologia: A Physical Prayer” Event
The Public Art Futures Lab hosts a WIP gathering of ATL DTN Artists-in-Residence: Bojana Ginn and Lauri Stallings + glo
Artist Statement: "Bojana Ginn and Lauri Stallings are deeply moved to welcome you to our first gathering. Biologia, a physical prayer, brings us a shared offering shaped by two practices, practices that meet at thresholds. It’s an invitation to feel the boundaries between inner and other biology dissolves, and reimagine possibility."
We invite you into our intimate process as we explore organic materials technology, and choreography being “total feeling” for glo moving artists Ashley Ianna Daye and Mary Jane Pennington, Zandia Covington, and Noëlle Dave'. This will be followed by a post-activation discussion. Hibiscus tea will be served.
Public Art Futures Lab will have open studio hours during Underground's First Friday art crawl.
