To better address the mental health, and substance use needs of youth and young adults in Fulton County, the Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities has established contracts with CHRIS 180 and Georgia HOPE. CHRIS 180 delivers services both in clinic settings and directly within schools, while Georgia HOPE provides comprehensive in-clinic behavioral and mental health services. Together, these partnerships enhance access to quality care for children and adolescents throughout Fulton County.

HOW DO I ACCESS SERVICES?
To access services from the Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), please call one of the locations that is most convenient to you, and schedule an appointment for an intake assessment. You will need to bring the following items:

What are the warning signs & symptoms?
In older children & pre-adolescents:
- Substance abuse
- Inability to cope with problems & daily activities
- Changes in sleeping and/or eating habits
- Excessive complaints of physical ailments
- Defiance of authority, truancy, theft, and/or vandalism
- Intense fear of weight gain
- Prolonged negative mood, often accompanied by poor appetite or thoughts of death
- Frequent outbursts of anger
In younger children:
- Changes in school performance
- Poor grades despite strong efforts
- Excessive worry or anxiety
- Hyperactivity
- Persistent nightmares
- Persistent disobedience or aggression
- Frequent temper tantrums
