Fulton County encourages all voters to visit the Secretary of State's My Voter Page to review their voter registration information and sample ballot before voting. Confirming your information ahead of time ensures accuracy and helps streamline your experience at the polls. INVALID ADDRESS:
If your current address is incorrect, you may visit the MVP webpage to update your address. Acceptable documents to serve as proof of residency (dated within the last 6 months)
• Utility Bill
• Georgia ID/ DL
• Household Information: lease, tax bill
• Motor vehicle information

FAMILY OF DECEASED VOTER:
Voters or a family member of a deceased voter can contact our office to complete the Secretary of State Voter Registration Cancellation/Removal Form to request such elector’s registration be cancelled in the State of Georgia or visit the Georgia Secretary of State Voter Cancellation Request Portal https://cancelmyregistration.sos.ga.gov/s/

MOVED OUT OF COUNTY:
If you are no longer a Fulton county resident, but still reside in the Georgia, you may update your address by visiting the MVP site (https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/) or contacting the Registration office in the new county that you reside in.

MOVED OUT OF STATE:
If you have permanently moved out of state, you may cancel your Georgia Secretary of State Voter Cancellation Request Portal at https://sos.ga.gov/page/voter-registration-cancellation

HOMELESS VOTER:
If you are a Fulton County resident experiencing homelessness, there are several ways to register to vote, even if you do not have a permanent address. For additional information, please click here.

GEORGIA VOTE SAFE PROGRAM:
Do you need to keep your voter information confidential? In 2009, the Georgia Legislature enacted a bill known as the VoteSafe program to provide for the confidentiality of residence addresses of certain registered voters who have been, or may be, subject to acts of family violence or stalking or currently reside in a family violence shelter. To apply please visit https://sos.ga.gov/page/ votesafe

COMMERCIAL/BUSINESS ADDRESS:
Law requires that all voters register to vote at a valid “residential” address. If your current registered address is a commercial business and you would like to update your address, you can visit the MVP webpage and update your address.

If you reside at your business address, you may contact our office to request a “Residency Affirmation” form to confirm this is your residential/ business address. You may not use a USPS box, UPS box, etc. as a residential/business address. You may use a USPS box, UPS box etc. as your mailing address

TO CANCEL YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION:
If you:
• No longer wish to be registered to vote in the State of Georgia
• You have permanently moved out of state or country
• You are related to a voter who is deceased and wish to cancel their voter registration

How do I register to vote? Where do i go to register to vote?

The Voter Registration Division has three locations to register to vote in person:

Fulton County Government Center, 130 Peachtree Street SW, Suite 2186, Atlanta, Georgia 30303

South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, Room 105, College Park, Georgia 30349

North Fulton Service Center, 7741 Roswell Road, Room 251, Sandy Springs, GA 30350

After I have registered to vote how long will it take to receive my voter precinct card?

A Voter Precinct card will be mailed to you from Fulton County 3 – 4 weeks after you register.

Do you know where I can find voter registration forms, and how many can I get?

You can complete your Voter Registration online or you or can also download the Voter Registration Forms. You can also visit a voter registration office to request application form, and if you are not a Deputy Registrar, you will receive only 25 applications.

How do I obtain a Precinct Card?

You will only receive a precinct card when you register to vote for the first time, change your name or address. Please visit https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do to print a copy of your precinct card.

 

I am a college student. Can I register to vote with my school address?

Yes, college students who meet the generally applicable registration requirements may register to vote in the county where the student attends college. As a student, your home of record could affect scholarship eligibility and financial aid. Before changing your registration to the Georgia county where you attend college, make sure it does not conflict with any financial aid or scholarships you may receive from an out-of-state address.

When is the last day to register to vote?

The voter registration deadline is five Mondays prior to an election. (Code 1981, § 21-2-224). Deadlines can be found here 

I updated my voter registration with my new address, but it is not reflected in the system What do I do?

Please contact the Voter Registration Office at 404-612-3816 for help to verify your address change.

If I do not have a Georgia Driver License or ID, How do i obtain a voter ID card and where?

If you do not have valid identification for the purpose of voting, you may apply for a Georgia Voter ID card. You must be an active registered voter in Fulton County to qualify for a Georgia Voter ID card.  Visit any of the three Fulton County Voter Registration offices to obtain a Voter ID Card.

If I go to the polls and I am told that I am not registered to vote what should I do?

Before heading to the poll, you should check your voter registration status: https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do or call the Voter Registration Office at 404-612-3816 to verify your status. If you are at the poll, ask for a provisional ballot that will allow you to cast your ballot.
