Virtual Classes are free and open to the public. Classes are first-come, first-served. Check the class offering for description and maximum class capacity. Virtual meeting access will be provided if class space is available. Download the Zoom app on your cellphone, tablet, desktop computer, or laptop prior to the class start date.

Beginning Piano, Ages 10 - Senior (Online)
Date: Tuesdays, January 6 - February 24, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Class Description: Learn to play the piano using an easy learning system that will have you playing chords & simple songs and understanding the keyboard in a very short time.
Pre-Requisite: Can be a novice with no prior lessons or completed a premier course.
Maximum Participants: 10

Time to Quilt, Ages 21+ (In-person)
Date: Tuesdays, January 6 - February 24, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Class Location: 3900 Aviation Circle, Atlanta, GA 30336
Class Description: In this class, you will learn how to create a block pattern project utilizing hand and/or machine quilting techniques, along with exploring the culture and history behind the craft. This class serves as an excellent opportunity to learn and enhance your skills.
Pre-Requisite: Students must know how to use needles and thread.
Supplies: Sewing needles, thread, scissors, cotton fabric, scraps and/or quarters, batting. Sewing machine is optional.

Intermediate Piano (New and Returning Students), Ages 10 - Senior (Online)
Date: Tuesdays, January 6 - February 24, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Instructor: Wlanvi Zinsou, EDAMCC Instructor
Class Description: This class is for the older intermediate student, not a beginner with high aptitude, knowledge, and proficiency playing the piano and would like to continue to practice increasing their proficiency. In this fast-paced class, students will learn to play major scales, theory, techniques, reading, and composing music that will introduce chord progressions and scales to their piano aptitude.
Pre-Requisite: Can be a new and returning student who has intermediate knowledge and playing skill, not beginner level, must have knowledge of some chord theory, sight-reading level 1 or above.

Advanced Piano (New and Returning Students), Ages 10 – Senior (Online)

Class Description: This class is for the older advanced student, not a beginner or intermediate, has high aptitude, knowledge, and proficiency skills and would like to continue to practice increasing their ability to play fluently. In this fast-paced class, students will learn to play major scales, extended chords, theory, technics, reading, and composing music that will advance their piano aptitude.
Pre-Requisite: Class open to all who are above level two in pedagogy, a new or returning student who has advanced knowledge and playing skills, not beginner or intermediate level, must have knowledge of chord theory, circle of fifths, sight-reading level two or above.

Controlled Contour Outline with Light and Dark Link Variation (In-person)

Class Description: Join award-winning artist Kevin Cole in an immersive still life drawing class where you will learn the exquisite technique of contour line drawing. Throughout the course, Kevin will guide you in mastering the art of depicting highlights and shadows with precision. You'll discover how to vary line thickness to create depth and dimension, transforming ordinary objects into captivating works of art.

Sewing For Baby, Ages 21+ (In-person)

Class Description: Join us for an 8-week sewing class that will teach students how to sew and create baby items. The curriculum is structured to progressively increase in complexity and covers both beginner and intermediate sewing skills. Participants will gain hands-on experience using a sewing machine while developing their skills in textile craftsmanship.

Qi Gong & Tai Chi (In-Person)

Beginning Wood Carving, Ages 18 - Senior (In-Person)

Class Description: We are excited to offer a new class on wood carving where students can explore the rich history of this art form. In this class, students will learn about African, Western, Asian, and other styles of wood carving to create a bas relief sculpture. Using high-quality mahogany or walnut, you will learn how to compose a compelling image and bring it to life through carving techniques. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced woodworker, this class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn a new skill or expand their knowledge of wood carving.

The Creativity of Wearables, Ages 18 - Senior (In-Person)

Class Description: In this class, students will explore the art of upcycling by redesigning garments, such as shirts and pants, to create a unique wearable piece.
Maximum Participants: 12
Class Supplies: Participants are required to bring their own sewing machine (optional), Cotton fabric with patterns that can be seen on both sides, solid cotton fabric, ribbon (various widths), a sweatshirt/shirt, button-down top (old or new and long or short), embellishments of choice, sewing needle and thread.

Bead Embroidery Beyond the Basics, Ages 18 - 55+ (In-Person)

Class Description: In this class students will be introduced to the art of sewing with beads to create wearable art jewelry. Students will learn and practice a variety of basic stitching techniques to create surface texture and interest. Students will also learn to bezel cabochons to create focal elements and use combined techniques from class to create a pendant or brooch.

Open Studio, Ages 18+ (In-Person)

Class Description: This open studio time is an opportunity for class participants to come into the center to engage with one another in a self-guided studio experience as they work on projects assigned from class. Studio participants are responsible for their own material and/or supplies. Space is limited. Must pre-register to reserve day and time slot.

Art Quilt & Printmaking, Ages 18+ (In-Person)

Participants will learn how Bearden used African American cultural history and literature as the source of his subject matter and create a piece of artwork inspired by Romare Bearden.
