School Safety Plans
Georgia law mandates that all public schools develop a school safety plan to address natural disasters, hazardous materials, transportation concerns, weapons, and potential terrorist activities. These School Safety Plans are inclusive and require the input and commitment of students, parents, and public safety agencies (O.C.G.A & 20-2-1185).
AFCEMA, in partnership with local emergency management, education, law enforcement, and State officials (GEMA), assists in this planning process and serves as the main collection point for public schools within Fulton County. If you are looking to submit your school safety plan or are more interested in the process, please look at the resources below for more information.
