Investigations

Investigations Division

District Attorney Investigators in Fulton County are not as visible as their counterparts in the local municipalities, yet they perform many of the same functions.

Fulton County is one of the most complex jurisdictions in Georgia and the type of cases District Attorney Investigators are called upon to work reflect that complex nature.

Today it is common for an investigator to be involved in cases ranging from, homicide, sex crimes, human trafficking, gangs, international banking fraud, terrorism, major narcotics trafficking, cybercrime, political corruption, and organized crime.

DA Investigators are also charged with investigating questionable convictions. Fulton County is the leader of the Conviction Integrity Unit which investigates allegations of wrongful convictions. It is the exoneration of the wrongfully convicted and the thorough review of our criminal justice system which epitomizes the role of the District Attorney Investigator.
