Fulton County highlights seniors all May in recognition of Older Americans Month. Hear more from Fulton Senior Services Director Ladisa Onyiliogwu. The Older Americans Act was signed into law July 14, 1965. It established the Federal Administration on Aging. Fulton County celebrates this legislation by recognizing the contributions of older adults every single May. The 2023 theme is aging unbound, every single year the theme differs but the purpose remains the same and that is to hone in on a certain aspect of aging that helps us develop programming and find solutions. Aging Unbound for 2023 enables the Department of Senior Services to not only celebrate the many different ways seniors are aging regardless of where they are but to identify solutions that may be needed.
