Happening in Fulton: Showcase Fulton
The Showcase Fulton Open House Event took place. Hear more from Economic Development Director Samir Abdullah. This event is an open house for Renew the District, where we're really trying to meet the private development community where we are. Right now we've got a request for information on the street for some of the strategic properties that we've acquired along Fulton Industrial and I-20 as a way to reprime the pump and future proof the district around investment. We want to meet with developers today to get a sense of: What will the market demand? What types of concepts make sense for them? What types of transactions will they stomach? So as we go forward with the procurement side of things in issuing an RFP later this year, we want to make sure that it fits and conforms with what the market will deliver so that we could successfully deploy these sites rapidly and get new investment, new shovels, and new developments out of the ground.
