The Tax Exemption Town Hall for District 5 was hosted at the South Fulton Economic Development Center. Hear more from District 5 Commissioner Marvin Arrington Jr. We want to make sure that everyone pays their fair share of taxes and no more. Your homestead exemption in particular is like a coupon on your property tax. You have to have owned the home by January 1 and you have to apply every year by April 1. We just want to make sure everyone knows about all of the homestead exemptions available. There are 18 taxing jurisdictions in Fulton County, and they all have their own set of tax exemptions.
