Stargazers on the top floor of the government center were in position to take a careful look at the eclipse. The great North American Eclipse was visible in some form across the continent allowing enthusiasts to see the moon pass between the Sun and the Earth. This spectacle will not be visible across the lower 48 states until the year 2044.
