Fulton County Senior Services Director Ladisa Onyiliogwu joins us to talk about the new trends in aging in 2024. This will help seniors get more services and better outcomes. Hear more from Director of Senior Services Ladisa Onyiliogwu. There are quite a few anticipated trends this year. Some are positive like wearable technology and multigenerational housing, while others require caution and awareness such as the continued threats of scams and frauds against seniors. Smart wearables can monitor the heart rate, blood pressure, or sleep patterns. Some of this technology can monitor mental health and provide insights into stress levels and emotional well-being. AI technology and cognitive rehabilitation therapy is in the infancy stages and will be explored to gauge new opportunities and learning new cognitive skills. 79% of multigenerational family members noticed enhanced relationships among family members.
