The Department of Arts & Culture presents, “If You Know, You Know,” a solo exhibition featuring the art of contemporary artist Tyreek Morrison. This powerful collection draws inspiration from the vibrant community that shaped the artist’s identity—a place where connections run deep (“if my parents know your parents, we’re cousins”), where the neighborhood candy lady is a fixture, and where creativity transforms the ordinary into something extraordinary. It’s an ecosystem that not only nurtures culture but sets the standard—often imitated, never duplicated.
The exhibit will be shown from Friday, May 9 to Friday, June 13, 2025, with the Opening Reception on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Artist Talk will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
