Fulton County unveiled the solar panels at the Cascade Library. Hear more from Energy & Sustainability Manager Jessica Lavender. Fulton County is partnering with Cherry Street Energy. They are a local solar company that was recently started, and they just offer a wonderful opportunity for local governments or businesses to get solar panels on their building or property without having to pay any upfront cost. If the numbers pencil out, then you end up paying them less monthly than you would be paying your electric utility. We've already saved over $130,000 on seven buildings that we initially did with Cherry Street; they came online in 2021. With these 46 more buildings, it's estimated that we're going to save 2.4 million dollars over the 20-year term.
