Bring Clarity to Property Values: Fulton County Host Appraiser Work Sessions for Residents

July 18, 2025

The Fulton County Tax Assessors’ Office will hold two additional in-person public information sessions in July to address taxpayers’ questions about property tax assessments, homestead exemptions, valuation appeals, and recent changes in state law.

The “Meet Your Appraiser Work Sessions,” free and open to the public, will be:

  • Wednesday, July 23, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fulton County Customer Service Center, 11575 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta, Georgia 30009.
  • Monday, July 28, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Louise Watley Library at Southeast, 1463 Pryor Road SW, Atlanta, GA 30315.

At each, residents will be able to interact with Tax Assessors’ staff regarding their recently issued 2025 property tax assessments and opportunities to apply for homestead exemptions.

Both events will be within the 45-day window following the issuance of assessment notices, during which property owners can appeal their assessments and – thanks to a change in state law – have a last chance to apply for homestead exemptions on this year’s taxes.
