Fulton County District 4 Commissioner Mo Ivory is preparing to send Atlanta students back to the classroom in style. The Commissioner will help celebrate the start of a new school year during the Atlanta Public Schools Back 2 School Festival on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
From 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. APS will turn out in full force at 2520 Lakewood Stadium to host the festival exclusively for APS families. It will be more than a day filled with family and fun, it will also be a time for the community to connect with district services and receive back-to-school supplies.
“All students in Fulton County and the Metro Atlanta Area are an important part of our future,” said Commissioner Ivory. “As a parent of 3 Atlanta Public School (APS) graduates, there is nothing is more important than children starting the school year with the resources they need to be successful. I’m thrilled to be a part of that and can’t wait to see everyone there.”
In addition to back-to-school supplies, families will also have access to health services and screenings, and free haircuts. Registration for this APS families only event ends on Thursday, July 31. For more information, visit
