Commissioner Arrington has just been appointed to 2 NACo committees. Hear more from District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr. I'm very glad to be appointed to the NACo Arts and Culture Committee and the Justice and Public Safety Committees. Both of these committees are great working committees. We learn best practices from all around the country, other counties, things that they are doing, things that are working, things that are not working. It's a great opportunity to network with other county commissioners; there are over 3,000 counties in the United States. Part of the reason I enjoy serving on the NACo Arts committee is because Arts is so important; it's an universal language. Law has been my practice and trade for the last 29 years. So both of those are passions for me and I'm happy to serve in those capacities on the NACo committees.
