Skimming fraud happens when criminals secretly attach devices to gas pumps, ATMs, or payment terminals to steal card information. Protect yourself with these tips:

• Inspect card readers for loose, bulky, or damaged parts.
• Compare readers across pumps for differences.
• Choose safer pumps near attendants or in well-lit areas.
• Cover your PIN when entering it.
• Pay inside or use contactless payments when possible.
• Use credit, not debit for better fraud protection.
• Monitor your accounts regularly for unusual activity.
