Fulton County Seeks Volunteers for 2026 Point in Time Count

Volunteer registration opens Thursday, November 6, 2025.

The Fulton County Department of Community Development is seeking community volunteers to help conduct the 2026 Point-in-Time Count (PITC), its annual count and survey of individuals experiencing homelessness in Fulton County.

The Point-in-Time Count (PITC) is a countywide effort to count and survey individuals experiencing homelessness. Survey results provide a snapshot of the minimum number of people experiencing homelessness within Fulton County—excluding the City of Atlanta.

The Count provides an opportunity for residents and local businesses to learn about people who are experiencing homelessness and contribute to the County’s efforts to address homelessness. The count also helps determine the scope of homelessness, identify available resources and services, and identify gaps to improve services and outcomes for vulnerable residents.

The 2026 Point in Time Count dates for street canvassing are Thursday, January 22, in South Fulton and Friday, January 23, in North Fulton. To prepare volunteers for this important work, an orientation and training are provided prior to the day of the Count.

“Previous Point-in-Time Count surveys suggest that the number of people experiencing homelessness in Fulton County is anywhere between 241 to 339 people,” said Stanley Wilson, Director, Fulton County Department of Community Development. “With the help of the community, we will be able to better understand the needs of people experiencing homelessness and take steps toward ending homelessness in the County.”

Volunteer Registration opened on November 6, 2025. To volunteer, register by clicking https://fulton.pointintime.info. After registration, volunteers will receive a confirmation email with directions to set a password for their account and information on volunteer training.
