Happening in Fulton: Imagenerations Artist Talk
Irvin Wheeler talks about his Imagenerations Exhibit. Hear more from Artist Irvin Wheeler. The name of this exhibition is Imagenerations. I came up with that theme because I'm a grandfather, and my grandkids are starting to express an interest in art. There are a lot of things that happened in my life and I don't write, but I want to communicate those things. I felt the best way to communicate them would be through art. This exhibit has to do with how I imagine my ancestors and how I imagine the people who come after me are going to look at this world and deal with it. Fulton County was very generous in granting me funding for this exhibit through their program. I was blessed twice; they gave me an initial grant and then they received additional funding and they came back and gave me a second grant. That was really really helpful for me especially with the metal casting work because it's very expensive, and this was my first time casting artwork in bronze. If not for the Fulton County grant I would not have been able to do so.
