District 5 residents are invited to join the Commissioner to discuss Homestead Exemptions during four separate town halls.

Fulton County residents in District 5 will soon have serval opportunities to learn more about the Homestead Exemption process. Hosted by Fulton County Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr., the dates for the 2026 Spring District Dialogue Town Halls have been scheduled.

The in-person and virtual meetings will provide residents with an opportunity to receive vital information and updates regarding Homestead Exemptions. In Fulton County, a homestead exemption is a legal provision that helps to reduce the amount of property taxes on owner-occupied homes. The home must be your primary residence. Applications can be filed year-round but must be submitted on or before April 1 to apply for the current tax year. Applications received after April 1 will be applied to the following tax year.

Residents will have the opportunity to meet with the Commissioner and senior staff from the Tax Assessor's office during four separate meetings:
