Happening in Fulton: Atlanta Technical College's Center for Transportation and Logistics Takes Shape
Construction is moving forward on the Center for Transportation and Logistics at Atlanta Technical College. Hear more from Atlanta Technical College President Dr. Victoria Seals. This is the training pad where we are today. We call this phase one; it was finished this summer. This is where the students will train and do the various maneuvers for the CDL program. The CDL program is one of many that are part of what Georgia has as the high demanding careers, and these jobs are starting at minimum of about $60,000. So, it's definitely a pathway that allows our students to experience economic mobility. At Atlanta Technical College, that's why we exist. We are workforce development. We want to make sure that we are putting our students and our graduates in pathways that lead to that economic mobility to improve themselves and their families. Fulton County has been an amazing partner, and I especially want to say thank you to Chairman Pitts. He's been a true champion for Atlanta Technical College and for this project. I just wanted to say a special thank you to him and just for his leadership in making sure that this became a reality for the citizens of Fulton County.
