Happening in Fulton: District 1 Property Tax Town Hall Helps Residents Navigate 2026 Assessments
Commissioner Bridget Thorne hosted her District 1 Property Tax Assessment Town Hall to inform residents more about the 2026 assessment process. Hear more from Fulton County Resident Theresa Cummings. I learned a great deal about different homestead exemptions, the floating homestead, and information that was provided because of your age being over 65 or over 70 where you would get certain percentage of homestead exemption. I also learned about the appeal process and how it can help my neighborhood as the HOA president. It's really important for us to be knowledgeable about the appeal process because our property taxes doubled, and just getting that information and background research for how we can appeal and take that information back to our neighbors.
