The District 5 Commissioner will represent Fulton County on a national level.
District 5 Fulton County Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr., has been selected by National Association of Counties (NACo) serve on a federal committee that focuses on legislation, and programs affecting local criminal justice and emergency systems.
Commissioner Arrington will represent the county by serving as a member of the:
- Justice and Public Safety (JPS) Policy Steering Committee
- Criminal Justice & Law Enforcement
- Courts, Corrections, and Homeland Security
- Crime Prevention
- Emergency Management
A native of Atlanta, Commissioner Arrington, is a renowned "Super" lawyer with over 25 years of litigation and judicial process and serves as District 5 Commissioner of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners (BOC). Commissioner Arrington is a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School. A member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., Marvin is a proud alumnus of both the University of Virginia and Emory Law School.
