Fulton County District Attorney’s Office Announces Fall Events to Raise Awareness of Domestic Violence

The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Brenda Baham Domestic Violence Division, will host and support a series of community events this fall focused on raising awareness of domestic violence, connecting survivors and families with resources, and promoting healing and access to justice.
These events provide opportunities for residents and community partners to learn, connect, and stand together against domestic violence.
Community Panel
Thursday, October 1, 2026 | 6 p.m.

Join community leaders, advocates, and residents for an important conversation about the newly enacted Survivor Justice Act and what it means for survivors navigating the criminal legal system. The panel will explore the protections and opportunities provided under the new law, its impact on survivors, and the challenges that remain in ensuring meaningful access to justice.

Community members are invited to hear stories of resilience and hope while engaging in meaningful conversations about the impact of domestic violence. The event will also feature a resource fair, providing survivors and community members with an opportunity to connect with organizations and services available throughout the community. Stop Domestic Violence Abuse 5K
Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 8:30 a.m.
Chastain Park
4403 Powers Ferry Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30342
The Stop Domestic Violence Abuse 5K brings runners, walkers, families, and community supporters together to raise awareness and take a stand against domestic violence. Proceeds benefit the Brenda Baham Family Justice Center and Camp HOPE, supporting programs that help children and families affected by domestic violence and trauma find pathways toward healing and hope.
The 5K is sponsored by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Brenda Baham Domestic Violence Division, in partnership with the Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts, City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Violence Reduction, Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, Inc., and Partnership Against Domestic Violence.
