It’s time consuming and may even mean sacrificing hours at your current job, finding transportation and getting help with family needs. WorkSource Fulton can provide funds and resources to help with all of it.

Standard Employment Services

  • Use of Resource Room: Access computers, printers, scanners, etc. free of charge.

Training Services

Jobseekers of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds can benefit from additional training to increase earning potential. Through a federally funded program, job seekers who meet eligibility requirements can receive funding to attend approved programs to obtain a:

  • CERTIFICATION 
  • LICENSE 
  • DEGREE 

Approved programs are in industries that are considered “in demand”. This means there are jobs available and the industry provides opportunities for career growth. Five of the current in-demand industries include but are not limited to:

  • ADVANCED MANUFACTURING
  • HEALTHCARE
  • INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
  • SKILLED TRADES
  • TRANSPORTATION, DISTRIBUTION, & LOGISTICS

Earn and Learn

Jobseekers of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds can benefit from access to training that takes place outside of the classroom. Earn and learn opportunities for job seekers who meet eligibility requirements allow them to gain firsthand experience and discover what jobs in an industry are really like.

Youth Services

WorkSource Fulton Youth Services program provides year-round workforce training and education program for people 16-24 years old who are interested in employment and/or training and live in Fulton County. Participants must meet low-income guidelines and/or possess significant and defined barriers to education and employment. Programs and services include:

  • Job readiness training
  • GED and high school diploma assistance
  • Paid work experience
  • Transportation assistance
  • Individualized occupational skills 
  • Training & Employment assistance

Each center has access to partners that can provide additional resources to job seekers.

Georgia Department of Labor
 
Unemployment Insurance, Veterans’ Services, Trade Adjustment Act Benefits, General employment services (including resume creation)
Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency
 
Provides assistance to individuals with disabilities to gain employment and independence.
Atlanta Technical College
 
Provides assistance with Adult Education and Literacy. Also provides technical and occupational training for jobseekers.
Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority (FACAA)
Provides a wide array of services to low-income individuals and families by offering programs and services that enable individuals and families to emerge from economic despair, prevent homelessness and enhance educational goals for improved quality of life.
Gwinnett Technical College
  
 Provides technical and occupational training for jobseekers. Also provides free GED classes and free ESL classes for students.
Atlanta Public Schools
  
Provides assistance with Adult Education and Literacy. Also provides free GED classes
Job Corps
 
Provides residential education and job training for young adults ages 16-24
 
AARP Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
  
Provides paid internships for seniors looking to gain new skills and upgrade their skills and get back into the workforce.
Housing Authority of Fulton County
  
Provides support to thousands of families by offering access to quality housing through the Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly known as Section 8).
Youth Build
 
Provides young adults ages 16-24 with education, job training, volunteer service, and leadership development activities
Urban League of Greater Atlanta
  
Empower underserved communities on education, workforce development, homeownership, wealth creation, and entrepreneurship
Hosea Helps Restore and re-stabilize at-risk individuals and families so they can thrive and become self-sufficient
