Paid parental leave
Permanent employees who have been employed by Fulton County for at least 180 consecutive calendar days (approximately 6 months) are eligible for eight (8) workweeks of 100% paid parental leave upon the birth of a child or children, or upon taking custody of an adoptive child or foster child under the age of 18.
Volunteer activity leave
Fulton County offers employees up to 24 hours of paid time off from work each calendar year to participate in eligible school or community volunteer activities. Eligible activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Paid Bereavement Leave
Fulton County provided eligible employees with up to three days of paid bereavement leave in the event of the death of an immediate family member (and up to five days for the death of an immediate family member who resides outside the state of Georgia). This time off with pay is intended to allow for participation in events related to the death and funeral (i.e., making funeral arrangements, settling family affairs, attending the funeral or memorial service, and for bereavement).
Paid Holidays

Educational Assistance Plan
All permanent, full-time employees who have completed at least 13 pay periods of employment with Fulton County (and their probationary period, if applicable) shall be eligible for participation in the County’s Education Assistance Plan. Under the Plan, any permanent employee who takes an approved course may, upon successful completion of the course, qualify for reimbursement of tuition expenses, fees, and the costs of textbooks in an amount up to, but not to exceed either $5,000 per calendar year or a lifetime cap of $35,000.
Pay for Performance Bonus
As authorized by the Board of Commissioners, Fulton County may offer monetary awards to reward employees for their individual performance and/or contribution towards achievement of established operational objectives, business goals and/or performance targets.
