The annual Black History Film Festival was held at the Central Library. Hear more from District 5 Commissioner Marvin Arrington Jr. Art is one of the universal languages. It transcends race; it transcends gender. So it's important for us to feature films particularly in this new age. People aren't reading books the way that they used to; everybody's on their phone and their tablet. So I think it's important that we capture these stories in a visual medium that allows us to tell the story over and over again.
